There are, however, no relative clauses at all and this does limit the candidate&#8217;s ability to extend sentences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Errors are frequent.\u00a0Articles are used almost randomly and present the full range of common mistakes: omitted article (<i>I&#8217;m student<\/i>); redundant article &#8211; for sports:\u00a0<i>the badminton<\/i>, for companies:\u00a0<i>the Tommy<\/i>, and for countries\/continents:\u00a0<i>the Chinese Mainland<\/i>,\u00a0<i>the Europe<\/i>;\u00a0along with\u00a0the incorrect choice of definite rather than indefinite article.\u00a0Verb forms also often lead to error:\u00a0<i>I like read<\/i>\u00a0[reading]\u00a0<i>the books<\/i><i>;<\/i><i>\u00a0I think is play<\/i>\u00a0[it is playing]\u00a0<i>with my buddies<\/i>. Likewise singular\/plural forms:\u00a0<i>another aspects<\/i>;\u00a0<i>higher<\/i>\u00a0<i>stage of the societies<\/i>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGRAMMATICAL RANGE AND ACCURACY \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The candidate is able to respond to all questions and demonstrates a range of vocabulary that includes some less common elements (e.g<i>. self-esteem, commonplace<\/i>).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, there are a number of\u00a0errors related\u00a0primarily\u00a0to (1) word form (e.g.\u00a0<i>after the<\/i>\u00a0<i>graduate<\/i>\u00a0[graduation];\u00a0<i>renewable energy facilitate<\/i>\u00a0[facility];\u00a0<i>go to German<\/i>\u00a0[Germany];\u00a0<i>his professional<\/i>\u00a0[professionalism]\u00a0and\u00a0(2) inappropriate\/incorrect word choice (e.g.\u00a0<i>differenties<\/i>\u00a0[differences];\u00a0<i>I dislike track<\/i>\u00a0[being trapped]\u00a0<i>at home<\/i>;\u00a0<i>get my passions<\/i>\u00a0[perhaps &#8216;see my style&#8217;];\u00a0<i>so far so good<\/i>\u00a0[so so]. Some of these\u00a0inappropriacies\u00a0result in\u00a0a breakdown in communication.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There is little attempt at paraphrase.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPRONUNCIATION \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Some words are mispronounced and there are a few systematic problem areas such as replacing a soft\u00a0<i>th<\/i>\u00a0with\u00a0<i>f,<\/i>\u00a0and dropping the\u00a0<i>l<\/i>\u00a0in some consonant clusters (e.g.\u00a0<i>play<\/i>,\u00a0<i>employer)<\/i>. Nonetheless, the\u00a0speaker&#8217;s\u00a0meaning is generally clear.
