Are designer clothes popular in Hong Kong?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>S: I don&#8217;t really think so because designer clothing is usually too expensive for the Hong Kong people so they\u00a0would\u00a0like to buy some\u00a0brand that\u00a0is\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0which is more,\u00a0more normal and in Hong Kong, for example, like\u00a0Uniqlo as\u00a0I said before, and also\u00a0H&amp;M\u00a0as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>E: For those people who\u00a0do\u00a0buy designer clothes in Hong Kong or other parts\u00a0of\u00a0the world, why do you think they&#8217;re willing to pay the extra money for it?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>S: I think it&#8217;s\u00a0based on the personality of the people.\u00a0If\u00a0they\u00a0would like to stand out of a group of\u00a0the\u00a0people and maybe they love fashion, they\u00a0would\u00a0like to pay more\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0pay a higher money for the\u00a0clothing.\u00a0So\u00a0I think it&#8217;s\u00a0base,\u00a0base\u00a0on the personality.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>E: Let&#8217;s talk about the\u00a0clothes\u00a0people\u00a0wear\u00a0to work now. Do you think people at work make judgments about their colleagues based on the clothes they wear?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>S: I think\u00a0yes.\u00a0Because like\u00a0in\u00a0my district\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0like in the art industry, there&#8217;s a lot of people loving art and they\u00a0would\u00a0like\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0they love beautiful things so they probably\u00a0judge\u00a0the clothing\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0judge\u00a0people just\u00a0by\u00a0the clothing. I think this is true.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>E: When colleagues see each other\u00a0at\u00a0work wearing particular clothes, do you think it&#8217;s reasonable that they make assumptions about what type of person that is?\u00a0About their personality, for example?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>S:\u00a0If a people like to wear some clothing with\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0like red or maybe a bright\u00a0colour,\u00a0I think that people will be more\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0is more outgoing and if people would like to wear the pale tone\u00a0colour, I think it&#8217;s &#8230;\u00a0that people maybe more,\u00a0more shy, I guess. I can&#8217;t hear you.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>E: Sometimes\u00a0employers tell their employees that they must wear certain styles of clothing. Do you think that&#8217;s reasonable?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>S:\u00a0Yeah, I\u00a0think it&#8217;s\u00a0reasonable, because I think clothing is kind of image\u00a0and\u00a0a symbol to represent that you are\u00a0a\u00a0professional.\u00a0So\u00a0I think it\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0I\u00a0think it&#8217;s\u00a0reasonable for the,\u00a0like,\u00a0employer\u00a0to wear appropriate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>E: What about uniforms?
