E: So, clothes with famous brand names. Are they popular in your country?
S: I think that it is now popular because some YouTuber, they have design the own branding in Hong Kong, so they would use the YouTube channel ... their YouTube channel to sell the clothing to us, so I think … also, I think that it is the business, so more people would want to earn the money so they may design some clothing that is ... they like, and also is suitable for most younger children or teenager. So, I think this is more popular in Hong Kong now.
E: Why do you think people like to wear clothes with famous brands?
S: I think that they want to ... it’s because that ... they think wear that clothes … that they can follow the, follow the trend. So, they would go to buy the clothes and wearing.
E: Do you think sometimes people worry too much about following the trend?
S: Oh, maybe this is common in teenager because they want to have more topic with friends. So when they see the friend buy those clothes, they would want to buy it.
E: Let's turn now to the kind of clothes that people wear to work. Do you think that people make judgments about their colleagues, because of the clothes they wear to work?
S: If …
E: So, when someone goes to work, dressed in a particular kind of way, do you think their colleagues look at them and make judgments about them?
S: If they work ... they wear too sexy, or they wear not formula, I think people will have some judgement because they think their wearing is not … respect in those situation. They are not wearing formula. So, I think some people will have judgement on their wearing.
E: Should people be forced to wear certain clothes to work? Is it okay for their employer to tell them ‘you must dress in this particular way’?
S: I think … some job need to wear in particular way such as lawyer or, some people is doing some business job, so they need to wear more formal than other job.
E: Has the way that people dress for work changed in recent times, do you think?
S: Change?
E: Do people dress a little bit differently now when they go to work, compared to 10 years ago or 20 years ago?
S: I think it is not much different. But I think nowaday that people wearing clothes ... it's not formula... not, not more formal than the people in the past. They would maybe focus more on its ... wearing feel comfortable to wear.
